Pooja, ACA / VA

Pooja is a third-year Biology student at Toronto Metropolitan University with a big heart for animals and dreams of becoming a veterinarian. She’s been with the clinic for over three years and loves that no two days are ever the same. Whether she’s greeting clients, managing social media, helping with surgeries, or decorating the cat boarding room, she’s always learning and finding new ways to contribute.

Pooja’s passion for animal care started early, she won’t even hurt an ant! She co-founded a Pre-Vet Club at TMU to connect with fellow animal lovers and support local rescues through fundraising and volunteering. She also helps out with Toronto Cat Rescue and Guardians Animal Rescue Foundation on weekends.

Outside the clinic, Pooja is a creative soul who loves cooking, playing piano and guitar, painting, writing, and even sewing. She doesn’t currently have pets, but her two goldfish lived for almost 18 years, so clearly, she’s doing something right!
